CIBA Vision is a global leader in the research, development and manufacturing of contact lenses and lens care products. In year 2007, CIBA Vision, the eye care unit ofNovartis, has designated its newest RM500 million plant at the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) Free Trade Zone in Johor, as its first facility worldwide to undertake end-to-end production of its breakthrough 020PTIX and AIR OPTIX highly-breathable, silicone hydrogel contact lenses.
The CIBA Vision Johor facility currently employs around 1400 people and headcount is expected to grow over time as production increases.
